About Youplant Amsterdam

Why should you participate in

a Youplant Amsterdam event?

Diversity

I consistently offer a diverse range of experiences, including plant swaps, markets, workshops, and exciting collaborations, ensuring there's always something for everyone to choose from and enjoy.

Green location

I always make an effort to arrange my events in green venues, providing a beautiful environment and giving you the chance to spot new trendy locations in town.

Collaboration

I love to collaborate with sustainable and local businesses as I firmly believe in the power of mutual support.

This allows you to find the best alternatives for your plants or discover a new favourite brand.

Community

By joining Youplant events, you will not only step out of your home but also have the opportunity to connect with others and create lasting memories.

I strongly believe in the value of collecting moments, and through plants.

Events

Plant swap

A plant swap party is an event where you can bring your cuttings, plants and plant accessories and you can swap them with other plant enthusiasts.

In Youplant Amsterdam plant swaps you will have the chance also to win prices participating in a lottery and usually goodie bags and a free drink are also included in the ticket price.

Plant market

Youplant markets are usually hosted once or twice per year. They are organized in the Hotel Jakarta in Amsterdam and they feature a variety of sellers: from rare species to the most common plants, local ceramic pots, plant accessories, soil, botanical illustrations and much more.

Workshops

Youplant Amsterdam tries to organize a range of workshops all related to plants care or inspired by plants. The aim of all the workshops is to get people closer to nature and creative experiences. Often I collaborate with local businesses trying to offer variety, professionalism and fun activities.

About me

I'm Fabrizia, and I curate exceptional events designed specifically for plant enthusiasts.

Whether you're embarking on your journey with your very first plant, have yet to begin, or consider yourself a seasoned pro, Youplant Amsterdam welcomes individuals of all skill levels. My ultimate goal is to bring people closer to the world of greenery and create unforgettable experiences that leave you eagerly awaiting each event.

Since my move from Italy to the Netherlands 14 years ago, my parents' love for flowers and plants has always been a part of me. When I was younger, I used to garden with them frequently. However, my personal green journey began when I unintentionally overwatered and killed a cactus..

Undeterred, I purchased another plant and from that point on, my collection expanded to include hundreds of plants. Although I don't consider myself an expert, I strive to learn something new every day. It's an ongoing adventure as plants may still fall ill and eventually pass away, but that's all part of the continuous journey.

In addition to my passion for plants, I enjoy building connections with people, indulging in thrifting adventures (I'm an enthusiast of vintage Ikea finds).I love taking part in workshops (I tried tufting, bread baking, ceramics to name a few) and I am fascinated by design and architecture.
